At the base of the Berkshire Mountains, white sands shift between the trunks of red cedars, and rivulets of water run into rich wetland fens covered in grasses and moss. Once known locally as the White Sands of Dover, this site features a series of eroded limestone ridges and bedrock outcrops crested by cottonwood trees.

Since Lucky Orphans opened its barn doors in 2008 we have helped many horses, along with some sheep and goats, find a more promising and meaningful future. It is our goal to not only save these wonderful animals but to also strengthen the relationship between people and animals to build a more compassionate future.

A short, moderate walk leads to a scenic brook and a dramatic natural cavern - the "Dover Stone Church" - through which water flows out and sunlight filters in.

Z Farms is a certified organic farm in the village of Dover Plains, New York. We conduct certified organic poultry and meat operations and grow berries and vegetables. The goal is to deliver the freshest possible beef, lamb, goats meat, poultry, eggs and berries with the highest nutritional values to local communities!

Soukup Farms is a third generation family farm, producing and selling pure New York Maple Syrup. Started as a hobby in the early 1950's the operation expanded to over 800 taps in the 1990's. With a renewed interest in the maple production process the third generation of syrup producers has moved to a new sugar bush and is actively expanding the business.

Brookby Farm has been family owned and operated by the Vincent family since the early 1800s. In 2016, we opened Brookby Farm Market to bring fresh groceries and the local flavor of the Hudson Valley to you and your family. Being certified by New York State, our farm produces grass-fed beef, milk-fed pork, and pasture-raised eggs. To compliment our products, we offer maple syrup, honey, granola, coffee and more, which are sourced from our neighboring farms in the Hudson Valley.

Kelly’s Creamery has an extensive selection of handcrafted artisanal ice cream, italian ice, and soft serve. They also boast a food truck and an 18-hole mini golf course, ensuring food and fun for the whole family!
